Environmental Effects of Credit Allocation Structure and Environmental Expenditures: Evidence from China

This article studies how the allocation structure of bank credit capital between state-owned and private enterprises government environmental expenditures affect pollution in China. The present literature argues that may play an important role quality improvement. However, these rarely consider State-owned (SOEs) enterprises; addition, they overlook interaction effects expenditures. Based on these, we put forward three hypotheses. Moreover, study applies relevant spatial data for 2011–2017 from 31 provinces China to a econometric model, results indicate (1) among provincial regions shows significant positive autocorrelation. (2) Environmental display inverse U-shaped relationship, which supports numerical simulation results. (3) effect is significantly positive, means more will restrain With increasing significance protection China, it necessary strengthen supervision enterprises’ behavior, expand ecological protection, promote regional collaborative governance improve quality.
